You can ask about your information, request corrections and unsubscribe from marketing.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Skinlicious Soaps™ Ltd. operates skinlicious.com. This policy describes personal information handled through our website, online orders, customer inquiries and newsletter subscriptions. Personal information means information about an identifiable individual.

We are responsible for personal information under our control. Questions and requests may be directed to our Privacy Contact using the contact details below.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and shipping address.
  • Order and account information: products ordered, transaction totals, order history, account details and information needed to administer purchases.
  • Payment-related information: payment status, transaction references and limited payment details provided by the payment processor. Card details entered through the payment service are handled by that provider.
  • Messages and preferences: information you choose to send us, subscription choices and customer-service correspondence.
  • Technical and usage information: information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and cookie or similar identifiers, as applicable to the services and choices in use.
  • Public contributions: information you choose to include in a product review, together with the public display name associated with it.

You may browse without creating an account. If you choose not to provide information needed for a purchase or inquiry, we may be unable to fulfil that request. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is unnecessary, and never email full payment-card details or security codes.

3. How we use information

We use information to process payments, fulfil and deliver orders, administer accounts, answer questions, handle order concerns, maintain transaction records, prevent fraud and protect the website. We also use relevant technical information to operate and improve the site.

We send promotional communications where we have your consent or another lawful basis under applicable anti-spam law. We do not require newsletter signup as a condition of purchasing. If we propose a materially different use requiring consent, we will explain that use and obtain the consent required by law.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell or rent your personal information or our subscriber list. We do share information where needed to operate the store and provide the services you request:

  • Payments: payment processors, including Square for the card-payment service currently offered at checkout, handle payment and fraud-prevention information.
  • Delivery: shipping and logistics providers receive details needed to deliver your parcel and provide delivery updates.
  • Store operations: hosting, technical support, email and other service providers may process information on our behalf for their assigned functions.
  • Legal and safety purposes: information may be disclosed when required or permitted by law, including to respond to lawful requests, address fraud or protect rights and safety.

Service providers may also have their own legal obligations and privacy policies. We seek appropriate safeguards for information handled on our behalf. Clicking a link to another website takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as remembering cart contents, maintaining account sessions and supporting checkout. Technical services may also process device and usage information for security, measurement or marketing where applicable.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any choices offered through the site’s Cookie Settings control. Blocking essential cookies can affect cart, account or checkout functionality. A cookie setting does not unsubscribe you from email, and unsubscribing from email does not change browser cookies.

7. Retention and processing locations

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including fulfilment, customer support, accounting, legal obligations and resolving disputes. Retention periods vary by record type and applicable requirements. Information no longer required is deleted, destroyed or de-identified as appropriate.

Our service providers may store or process information outside your province or outside Canada. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be accessible to courts, regulators or other authorities under the laws of that jurisdiction.

8. Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to help protect it against loss, misuse and unauthorized access or disclosure. Payment services handle sensitive payment information through their own systems.

No website, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a strong, unique account password and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized activity. We will respond to privacy incidents and provide notifications where required by applicable law.

9. Access, correction and questions

You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, ask about our practices or raise a privacy concern. Subject to legal exceptions and retention obligations, you may also ask us to delete information that is no longer needed or withdraw consent.

We may need reasonable information to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful restriction. If a concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy regulator with jurisdiction over your matter.

Our store is intended for a general adult shopping audience and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The revised date appears on this page. Where a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
