**This soap is unscented and contains no dyes.**

This is a marvel of a soap. African Black Soap is highly recommended by naturopaths. African Black is 100% Natural & Organic, and is made using recipes which are centuries old.  Exotic ingredients such as 100% pure shea butter, cocoa butter, banana leaves, burnt palm leaves, charcoal and many other natural ingredients.  The soap is imported directly by us from Ghana, Africa (sadly, no we do not make it because we do not have the ancient recipes nor the ingredients to manufacture this stellar soap).  It’s great for washing both skin and hair.   African Black Soap has been traditionally used to help relieve the symptoms of Acne, Eczema and Psoriasis as well as rashes, dandruff, dry itchy scalps, body odor and ringworm.  A recent study in 2014, concluded that authentic African Black Soap is excellent as a mild, day to day sunscreen with a protection of SPF8.  While suncreens are necessary in modern living, they do contain quite a few questionable chemicals.  This soap will act as a decent barrier for a typical Canadian July or August day, however, any prolonged periods in the sun will require a stronger rated sunscreen.  Should you have any questions, please contact us at info@skinlicioussoaps.com.

How to Use:  African Black Soap is special in that we give you a large chunk of soap.  You should not take that entire bar into the shower. There are a couple of reasons for this.  Number 1 is that we’re a bit spoiled as Canadians in the first world.  Some of us take long and luxurious 20 minute hot showers that break down the natural and wholesome ingredients in this soap.  And number 2 is that this soap is very crumbly.  There is a lot of oil in this soap (cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil, palm oil) and so the soap needs to be compressed (squeezed by hand) in order for it to remain together.  Taking the entire bar into the shower is a good way to see your bar of African Black Soap disintegrate and go down the drain!  The best way to use this soap is to break off a small piece the size of a loonie or twoonie (Canadian currency terms).  By using small pieces at a time, the African Black Soap will last longer (up to 6-7 weeks per bar) and will keep its amazing properties.

You can purchase this wonderful soap by the 5.5 oz bar, the 1 kg cone, or 5 kg cone.  Just use the drop down menu to specify the size you prefer. We strongly recommend that you try the soap first in bar size before you venture out to the 1 kg or 5 kg sizes.
