AKA “The Camper’s Soap”
To be truly accurate, any of our soaps scented with 100% essential oils, like Lavender, Lemongrass, Patchouli, Peppermint, Lemon, Pink Grapefruit, would be effective in keeping the blood sucking bugs away, but nothing works quite like Citronella. We came up with this soap while in Rice Lake, Ontario on a fishing trip. The mosquitos were out with full fury, but we were bite free because bugs absolutely hate citronella! We’re not sure why. We rather fancy the scent of lemony / woody goodness!
While our Citronella Soap is great at deterring pesky bugs, but at the same time it will NOT damage to our precious Canadian lakes and aquatic life. That’s a total win win for everyone! This product contains no DDT.

Please note: Our soap bars are ALWAYS cut fresh from the loaf at the time of purchase. The soap is ‘raw’ and needs time to cure, that is harden up for 7-10 days. In the meantime, use our bars as natural, chemical free room fresheners in a linen closet, armoire drawer or simply leave in the bathroom, bedroom or kitchen. Because the soap is raw, it’s giving off a lot of fragrance! What will happen if you use the bars right away? Nothing. However, really fresh soap will dissolve in the shower a lot faster.
